Color dry on your paper, then lightly brush over the area with a damp brush to activate and blend the pigment. For gradients, wash color across the area and build layers as each layer dries. You can also re-wet to soften edges or lift color for lighter tones.

Use a quality colored-pencil sharpener to keep a fine point for detail work. Keep the tin closed when not in use to protect the cores and prevent rolling. Wipe the ferrule area if there’s any buildup and store in the included metal tin.
