ABB Inora 2 Gang TV and RJ45 Cat 5e Data Outlet Starry Black BL325-885

It is suitable for apartments, villas, offices, meeting rooms, hotel rooms, reception areas and other spaces requiring both TV and network connectivity at one wall location. Typical connected equipment includes televisions, set-top boxes, desktop computers, smart TVs, access points and other compatible Ethernet devices.

The 5-1000 MHz specification indicates the supported signal-frequency range of the TV connection. This range is commonly used for terrestrial television, cable distribution and compatible RF systems. Actual signal quality depends on the antenna or distribution system, coaxial cable grade, connector quality, splitter losses and correct termination.

A correctly installed Cat.5e channel can typically support Ethernet speeds up to 1 Gbps at distances of up to 100 metres, subject to the active equipment, cable quality, topology and installation conditions. The complete permanent link should use compatible Cat.5e or higher-rated components and must be terminated and tested correctly.

Mount the outlet in a compatible wall box, route the coaxial and data cables separately from mains power where required, terminate each cable according to the connector instructions, secure the mechanism without over-tightening and fit the Starry Black faceplate. Installation should be completed by a qualified electrician or ELV technician following ABB instructions, project drawings and applicable UAE authority requirements.

Use the wiring scheme specified for the project, with T568B being common in many structured-cabling installations. The same scheme must be used consistently at the outlet and patch-panel ends. Keep conductor pairs twisted as close as possible to the termination point to reduce crosstalk and preserve Cat.5e performance.

ELV, data and coaxial cables should be segregated from mains wiring in accordance with the project specification and applicable electrical regulations. Avoid long parallel runs beside power cables, maintain the required separation, and cross power cables at approximately 90 degrees where unavoidable. Proper segregation helps reduce electromagnetic interference and supports safe construction practices.

Yes. Combined TV and data outlets are commonly specified in UAE villas, apartments, hotels and commercial fit-outs where concealed ELV services and coordinated finishes are required. Product selection and installation should comply with the approved project specification, local authority requirements and relevant structured-cabling practices. Confirm acceptance with the consultant, contractor or authority having jurisdiction before installation.

The Starry Black finish is well suited to contemporary residential, hospitality and office interiors, particularly when coordinated with dark switches, sockets and decorative wall finishes. For a consistent appearance, verify that the selected ABB Inora accessories, frames and mechanisms belong to the same compatible range and colour specification.

The data connection should be checked with a suitable cable tester or certification instrument for wire map, continuity, pair arrangement and required Cat.5e link performance. The TV connection should be tested for signal level and quality using appropriate RF test equipment. Labelling both cable ends also supports commissioning, maintenance and future troubleshooting.

Protect the wall box and cables from plaster, paint, dust and moisture during civil and finishing works. Maintain the minimum cable bend radius, avoid crushing or tightly stapling the cable, leave sufficient service length and do not exceed recommended pulling tension. Install the final faceplate after dusty work is complete to help preserve the finish and connector condition.

This type of decorative indoor wall outlet should not be assumed to be weatherproof or suitable for exposed outdoor, wash-down or wet-area installations. For balconies, gardens, plant areas or other damp locations, use an enclosure and accessories with an appropriate verified IP rating and follow UAE project and electrical safety requirements.

A Cat.6 cable may be physically terminated only if the connector accepts its conductor size and construction, but the overall channel performance will be limited by the Cat.5e-rated outlet. For a fully certified Cat.6 installation, use Cat.6-rated outlets, patch panels, patch cords and cable throughout the channel.

Verify model BL325-885, Starry Black finish, wall-box and frame compatibility, TV connector requirements, network category, cable type and the approved project schedule. Buyers should also confirm whether any matching frame, back box, cable, patch panel or installation accessory must be ordered separately.
