Fosroc Renderoc products are used for repairing voids, blowholes, and damaged concrete on vertical and overhead surfaces. They can be applied from a feather edge up to 3mm thickness. Renderoc mortars are also used for reinstating horizontal concrete surfaces.

Fosroc Renderoc products are easy to use, provide high bond strength, and are cost-effective. They conform to the requirements of BS EN 1504-3 for concrete repair materials.

The surface should be clean, and free from dust, unsound material, plaster, oil, paint, grease, corrosion deposits, or algae. Roughen the surface to remove laitance and expose the fine aggregate by light scabbling or grit-blasting. No independent priming system is required.

For low temperature working below 5°C, use warm mixing water up to 30°C and adopt normal precautions for winter working. For high temperatures working above 35°C, store the material in the shade and use iced water for mixing.

Correct curing is essential for optimum performance. Leave the formwork in place until the compressive strength reaches 10MPa. After striking the formwork, thoroughly soak the repair with clean water and spray with a liquid curing membrane like Concure A99.

Fosroc recommends using the Dekguard range of protective, anti-carbonation coatings over the repair area to provide a decorative and uniform appearance and protect the structure from the environment.

Fosroc Renderoc FC is a cementitious fairing coat designed for application in thin layers, up to 3 mm thick, to create a fair-faced appearance on concrete and masonry surfaces. It is suitable for vertical and overhead applications, making it ideal for filling surface imperfections and preparing surfaces for protective coatings.

Renderoc FC offers excellent bonding to concrete substrates without requiring an independent primer or curing membrane. It is easy to mix with only the addition of clean water and contains no chloride admixtures, making it suitable for various construction environments.

Renderoc FC should be mixed with clean water at a ratio that achieves a workable consistency. The application can be done using a trowel, ensuring that the thickness does not exceed 3 mm per layer. It is important to avoid application in temperatures below 5°C.

One 25 kg bag of Renderoc FC typically covers approximately 5 m² at a thickness of 3 mm. Coverage may vary depending on the surface texture and application technique used.

Renderoc FC should not be applied in conditions where temperatures are below 5°C or during heavy rainfall, as these factors can affect curing. Additionally, it should not be exposed to moving water during application to prevent washout.

When stored in dry conditions in unopened bags, Renderoc FC has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture. However, exposure to high humidity or temperatures may reduce this shelf life significantly.
