Fosroc Renderoc products are used for repairing voids, blowholes, and damaged concrete on vertical and overhead surfaces. They can be applied from a feather edge up to 3mm thickness. Renderoc mortars are also used for reinstating horizontal concrete surfaces.

Fosroc Renderoc products are easy to use, provide high bond strength, and are cost-effective. They conform to the requirements of BS EN 1504-3 for concrete repair materials.

The surface should be clean, and free from dust, unsound material, plaster, oil, paint, grease, corrosion deposits, or algae. Roughen the surface to remove laitance and expose the fine aggregate by light scabbling or grit-blasting. No independent priming system is required.

For low temperature working below 5°C, use warm mixing water up to 30°C and adopt normal precautions for winter working. For high temperatures working above 35°C, store the material in the shade and use iced water for mixing.

Correct curing is essential for optimum performance. Leave the formwork in place until the compressive strength reaches 10MPa. After striking the formwork, thoroughly soak the repair with clean water and spray with a liquid curing membrane like Concure A99.

Fosroc recommends using the Dekguard range of protective, anti-carbonation coatings over the repair area to provide a decorative and uniform appearance and protect the structure from the environment.

Fosroc Renderoc TG Xtra is a cementitious polymer-modified repair mortar designed for vertical and overhead repairs. It is suitable for applications requiring light to medium load-bearing capacity, making it ideal for restoring covercrete and filling voids greater than 10 mm deep.

This product features Dimensional Stability Technology, which controls drying shrinkage, ensuring stable dimensions and reducing the risk of shrinkage cracking. Additionally, it offers enhanced durability, compatibility with host concrete, and user-friendly application properties.

Renderoc TG Xtra can be used for various applications, including general concrete and masonry repairs, vertical and overhead repairs, filling voids, and larger scale repairs where formwork cannot be erected. It is particularly effective in restoring damaged concrete surfaces.

The product demonstrates a compressive strength of 40 N/mm² at 28 days and low permeability of less than 10 mm. It also has a drying shrinkage of less than 500 microstrains after 28 days, making it suitable for long-lasting repairs.

Renderoc TG Xtra is supplied as a ready-to-use blend of dry powders that requires only the addition of clean water. It should be mixed thoroughly to achieve a consistent mortar before application by hand or using appropriate tools for vertical and overhead surfaces.

The shelf life of Renderoc TG Xtra is 12 months when stored in a dry environment in its original packaging. However, exposure to high humidity or temperature may reduce this shelf life to as little as four months.

Renderoc TG Xtra should not be used when ambient temperatures fall below 5°C or if part bags are used. Additionally, it should not be exposed to running water during application or before the final set, as this can compromise its performance.
