Henkel Polybit Polyshield DPC is a polymer-modified bitumen damp-proof membrane laminated onto a multi-layered high-density, high-tensile polyethylene film. It provides a reliable barrier against moisture and water ingress, making it ideal for various construction applications. The membrane is designed for durability and flexibility, ensuring long-lasting protection against dampness.

Polyshield DPC is used as a damp-proof membrane to prevent moisture or water passage from the exterior to the interior or from the ground to the structure. It is suitable for both horizontal and vertical damp-proof course applications, including walls and floors. The membrane is compatible with various building materials and construction systems.

The Polyshield DPC 200mm has a thickness of 1.5 mm and is available in rolls of 200 mm width by 10 meters length. It weighs approximately 3 kg per roll. The material is designed to withstand a range of temperatures while maintaining its waterproofing properties.

Polyshield DPC should be installed during the construction stage, typically during the erection of brickwork, blockwork, or masonry walls. It must extend through the full wall thickness and be laid on an even bed of mortar. Overlapping should be at least 100 mm, including sealing form laps, following relevant building regulations.

When handling Polyshield DPC, care should be taken to avoid skin contact, as it may leave bitumen stains. These stains can be removed with light solvents. Additionally, caution is advised when using tools to cut the membrane to prevent injuries.
