Polytex can be used for waterproofing and protecting sloped concrete roofs and metal profile roofs. It is particularly effective in preventing carbonation and the ingress of atmospheric gases and salts.

The recommended coverage rate for Polytex is 1 litre per square meter per coat to achieve a dry film thickness of 0.5 mm. For optimal performance, two coats should be applied, resulting in a total thickness of 1 mm.

Surfaces must be cleaned of dust, dirt, grease, and loose particles. For concrete surfaces, cracks or potholes should be repaired with appropriate mortar. Metal surfaces need to be free of rust through methods like wire brushing or grit blasting.

After application, each coat of Polytex must be allowed to cure completely before applying the next coat. The full curing process takes approximately 72 hours to achieve maximum properties.

Users should wear protective clothing such as gloves and goggles while handling Polytex. In case of skin or eye contact, rinse immediately with water. If ingested, seek medical assistance without inducing vomiting.

The shelf life of Polytex is up to 12 months when stored properly in a covered area away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Prolonged exposure to sunlight can deteriorate its quality.

Key specifications include a tensile strength greater than 1 N/mm², elongation at break exceeding 50%, UV resistance passing standard tests, and crack bridging ability greater than 0.5 mm. It can be applied in temperatures ranging from 5°C to 45°C.
