Mapei Mapeset is a cementitious adhesive designed for interior applications, ideal for fixing ceramic tiles, mosaics, and stones on cement-rendered walls, brick walls, and cementitious screeds.

It is a grey powder with a bulk density of 1,300 kg/m³. When mixed with water, it forms a creamy paste that is easy to trowel and provides excellent adhesion without shrinkage. It complies with EN 12004 standards.

Mix 4.5-5.5 liters of water with 25 kg of Mapeset. The paste has a pot life of 4-6 hours and should be applied at temperatures between +5°C and +35°C. Wall grouting can begin after 3-6 hours, while floor grouting starts after 24 hours.

The adhesive consumption ranges from 3-5 kg/m² per mm thickness, depending on substrate conditions and application techniques.

Avoid using it on wood, metallic surfaces, PVC, linoleum, heated floors, or exterior applications. It is also unsuitable for surfaces requiring quick traffic access or those subject to strong movement.

The product has a storage life of 12 months if kept in its original packaging in a dry place.

Mapei Mapeset offers excellent resistance to dampness and ageing but poor resistance to acids and alkalis. It achieves an adhesion strength of 0.8 N/mm² after 28 days as per EN 1348 standards.

Tools and hands can be cleaned with water immediately after use, while tile surfaces can be cleaned with a damp cloth before the adhesive sets.
