Open the top loading magazine by lifting the head or sliding the magazine cover, insert a strip of compatible half-strip staples with the flat end facing down, close the magazine until it locks, and test on a scrap sheet to verify it’s feeding correctly.

Remove the stapler from the paper, carefully open the magazine to access the anvil area, remove any jammed staples with pliers or fingers, then re-close the magazine and test on a scrap sheet.
