Inspect and reseat the connection, check for debris or damaged contacts, restart the system and install any available official firmware updates. If the battery remains undetected or shows a warning, stop using it and contact authorised technical support rather than opening or repairing the battery enclosure.

The EB300 has a modular, stackable design, but the permitted number and configuration of expansion batteries are controlled by the RIVER 3 Plus system specifications. Confirm the supported arrangement in the current EcoFlow manual before connecting multiple batteries; do not use unofficial splitters, adapters or modified cables.

Switch off and disconnect the battery according to the manufacturer’s procedure, clean it with a dry cloth and store it in a cool, dry, ventilated location away from direct sunlight and combustible materials. Avoid prolonged storage in extreme heat or at a fully depleted charge level. Check and recharge it at the intervals recommended in the EcoFlow manual.

Keep the battery on a stable surface away from water, conductive dust, sparks, hot work, flammable materials and impact zones. Maintain ventilation, protect cables and connectors from crushing, and do not exceed the RIVER 3 Plus output limits. Where temporary AC distribution is used, suitable circuit protection, earthing arrangements and residual-current protection should follow the project requirements and applicable UAE electrical regulations.

The EB300 can extend the reserve available to a RIVER 3 Plus used for supported backup applications, but transfer behaviour, output limits and device compatibility are determined by the power station. For routers, computers, security devices or control equipment, confirm the required transfer time and wattage first. It should not be treated as a certified life-safety supply or used for critical medical equipment without an approved backup design.

The EB300 is charged as part of the connected RIVER 3 Plus system rather than as an independent solar battery. If the RIVER 3 Plus supports a compatible EcoFlow solar input, suitable solar panels may charge the combined system within the power station’s specified voltage, current and wattage limits. Never connect an unverified solar panel directly to the EB300.

The integrated battery management system coordinates charging, discharging and battery-status information with the connected RIVER 3 Plus. Once correctly connected and recognised, users can monitor relevant system information through the power station and its supported EcoFlow application. Available readings and controls may vary according to firmware and app version.

Lithium iron phosphate, or LFP, chemistry is selected for stable operation and dependable performance through repeated charging cycles. It is well suited to frequently used backup, camping and mobile-work systems. Battery longevity still depends on correct charging, suitable temperatures, ventilation and storage practices.

The EcoFlow EB300, model EF-EB300, is a 286Wh smart extra battery designed to expand the energy storage capacity of the compatible EcoFlow RIVER 3 Plus portable power station. It uses LFP battery chemistry, integrates with the power station’s battery management system and provides additional runtime without requiring a separate inverter.

When paired with the RIVER 3 Plus, the EB300 can extend power availability for site documentation laptops, communication devices, surveying accessories, LED work lights, security equipment, inspection tools and compatible cordless-tool chargers. It is particularly useful for fit-out work, snagging, maintenance visits and temporary site offices where mains power is unavailable or inconvenient.

The EB300 increases runtime but does not increase the RIVER 3 Plus inverter’s rated output or surge capability. Whether it can support a drill, inspection camera, laser level, task light, laptop, measuring instrument or battery charger depends on the connected power station’s output rating and the tool’s running and starting wattage. High-demand equipment such as large grinders, compressors, welders and concrete breakers may exceed the power station’s limits even when the EB300 is attached.

Normal connection to a compatible RIVER 3 Plus is a modular battery installation and generally does not involve fixed building wiring. However, the system must not be improvised into a building distribution board, socket circuit, changeover arrangement or generator inlet. Any connection to permanent electrical installations in the UAE should be designed and completed by a qualified electrical professional in accordance with the applicable local authority regulations.

Place both units on a stable, dry and ventilated surface, switch off the power station, inspect the battery interfaces for dirt or damage and align the compatible connection points as instructed in the EcoFlow user manual. Secure the battery without forcing the connector, then switch on the system and confirm that the additional battery is detected. Check for firmware updates through the supported EcoFlow application before regular use.

The EB300 measures 234 × 224 × 110 mm and has a net weight of approximately 3.5 kg. Its compact, stackable format is suitable for portable backup arrangements, vehicle storage, camping equipment and temporary site-office setups where storage space and handling weight are important.
