For even drying, try to keep thickness around 1 cm or less. Very thick pieces may crack or dry unevenly; build up in layers if needed.

Once fully dried, the clay becomes hard and cannot be easily re-softened. You can join dry pieces by using fresh clay and scoring/blending at the joint.

Shape with fingers or sculpting tools, lightly dampen the surface as you work, and sand lightly after it dries. A thin coat of water can help blend seams while shaping.
