Mapeflex PU 45 FT is a one component elastomeric polyurethane sealant designed for interior joints and bonding. It provides a flexible, paintable seal that adheres to most common building substrates, accommodates movement, and can be painted over with conventional paints without priming.

Key properties include: one-component polyurethane formulation, high elasticity, strong adhesion to typical building substrates, paintability without primer, ease of application and tooling, and long-term durability suitable for indoor use such as kitchens and bathrooms.

Yes, Mapeflex PU 45 FT is paintable with standard interior paints without needing a primer. It bonds well to concrete, brick, plaster, metal, wood and other common building surfaces typically found indoors.

Prepare the joint by cleaning and drying the surfaces. Cut the nozzle and load the cartridge into a standard caulking gun. Apply the bead evenly, then tool it to a smooth finish and remove excess material. Clean up with soap and water before it cures; no primer is normally required on suitable substrates.

Curing is influenced by ambient temperature and humidity. It develops more quickly in warm, humid conditions and will continue to cure over time, maintaining elasticity as the joint moves. Deeper joints may take longer to fully cure.

Yes. Mapeflex PU 45 FT is described as a long-life, flexible sealant suitable for interior areas such as kitchens and bathrooms where joints experience movement and exposure to moisture.

Mapeflex PU 45 FT is designed for indoor use. Exterior exposure and immersion may require a different product formulation with appropriate weather resistance.

Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free of dust or contaminants. For deep joints, use a backer rod to control depth and avoid bottom-sag. While primer is not required on many substrates, always follow the product SDS for specific surfaces and watch for any substrate-specific recommendations.
