Total Drywall Sander 1050W 215mm Variable Speed with LED Work Light TDWS105016

Total Drywall Sander 1050W 215mm Variable Speed with LED Work Light TDWS105016

The Total TDWS105016 is a 1050W electric drywall sander for smoothing jointed and skimmed plasterboard walls and ceilings before painting. A variable speed dial from 1000 to 2900 rpm lets the operator match the speed to the filler and grit, and the 215 mm backing pad takes standard 225 mm hook and loop sanding discs. The head is surrounded by a brush skirt that seals against the wall so the 2 m hose and dust bag collect most of the plaster dust at source, and an integrated LED light shows up ridges and pits that are easy to miss under site lighting.

• 1050W motor with the torque to flatten joint compound quickly without stalling

• Variable speed 1000 to 2900 rpm: low speed for fine finishing, high speed for heavy filler removal

• 215 mm pad with hook and loop fixing for fast disc changes, 12 discs supplied to start work immediately

• Pivoting sanding head follows wall and ceiling angles for even contact

• Brush skirt and 2 m flexible hose connect to the supplied dust bag or to a vacuum extractor for cleaner work

• Integrated LED work light highlights surface defects while sanding

• Extra set of carbon brushes included for longer service life

• Supplied in a colour box

How to Use

Fit a sanding disc of the required grit to the hook and loop pad (coarse 60 to 80 grit for filler ridges, 120 to 180 grit for finishing). Connect the hose to the dust bag or to a vacuum extractor, select the speed, start the tool off the wall and bring the head flat onto the surface. Keep the sander moving in overlapping passes with light pressure and let the brush skirt stay in contact with the wall so dust is captured. Empty the dust bag regularly and replace the carbon brushes when motor power drops. Wear a dust mask and eye protection.

Applications

Sanding plasterboard joints, skim coats, filler and old paint on interior walls and ceilings before decorating; drywall contractors, painters and decorators, fit-out companies and facility maintenance teams.
